More about Art Leach

Business Philosophy

My business philosophy is really quite simple. To provide you with service that can be described by only one word. Superior. To surprise you with the highest and most professional level of service and availability that you will find regardless of what broker or company you might be talking to. I take pride in the fact that well over half my business is either generated by referrals or repeat customers. Over thirty years has taught me to listen to your needs, answer your questions, and let you know that I understand that your time is as valuable as mine. Every chance I have to speak to you is both a blessing and an opportunity to show you just what a difference experience, honesty, energy and integrity make. I may not have all the answers, but I know where to get them!

Personal Background

I was first licensed in 1978 as a Colorado Real Estate Agent and worked primarily in sales and marketing for several attorneys and banks in Denver handling foreclosed homes and subdivisions. Interest rates back then were 21% and it was a tough time on a lot of people. Sounds a bit like the last few years doesn't it? I went on to start Pinecone Properties which practiced not only general real estate, but specialized in mining claims, vacant land, ranches and both major and minor subdivisions as well as residential building . My Grandfather, Arthur C. Leach, opened Leach Realty at 1st and Main in Pueblo in 1912 and there have been Leach family members serving Colorado non stop ever since. That’t 103 years! The first MLS system in these parts was started by the Leach family, and though nothing unique about it now, the shopping center was a completely new concept at the time and thus again with the construction of the Midtown shopping center, there was The Leach family on the the cutting edge of real estate again. Today the local MLS system ( Pueblo Association of Realtors ) awards the Arthur C. Leach trophy for the best new salesperson of the year. As his Grandson, this makes me very proud but also convinces me, It must be in the DNA. In this internet age when you can easily pull up 100 brokers with the click of a mouse, most of whom you have never heard of, how do you choose? Let me suggest what a combined century of time and vision, mine and my ancestors, has taught me. Whether you are buying, selling, or simply trying to value what it’s worth, four things matter the most ; honesty, integrity, experience and perhaps the most important of all

Education and Training

I am a native of Pueblo, who went mostly to schools that are now parking garages or office buildings. I went to Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington but my education really started before I could even drive and had to have Mom drop me off and pick me up, as I worked as a janitor at The Leach Real Estate Company. I guess I was born to be in this business.

Community Involvement

I worked in many rural areas over the years while dealing with ranches, farms and mountain properties. I did a lot of driving down roads no one would describe as busy, and more than once I arrived first on the scene of an accident that hadn't even been reported yet. Wanting to help but often not knowing what beyond basic first aide to do, I put myself through night school at Swedish Medical Center in Denver and became a state certified and licensed EMT. I worked for a number of years as a paramedic volunteer for Ambulance Service in Denver until they were purchased by American Medical Response after which time I moved over into the emergency room at Swedish and volunteered there. I had a customer out looking at properties with me once, when he suffered a heart attack. He will swear to you!

Communities I Serve

Being a native of Pueblo, I specialize and concentrate on Pueblo, both city and County. I also enthusiastically work with the rural areas from Fountain south to Walsenburg and am still quite active in the Park County ( Fairplay ) area, as I maintained an office up there for three decades as well and was involved in the development of thousands of acres in the form of both small and large subdivisions. If It's in Colorado, let's talk! If I don't handle it, I'll know who will because again,
