A Minnesota native, Kathy has sold Real Estate in Colorado for the past 17 years. Having lived in Minnesota, Louisiana, California, Texas and Colorado has proven to be valuable in relating to the needs of Buyers & Sellers today. Kathy, along with son Zac, formed The Nelson Team. Zac graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Combined, they have the expertise, intuition & guidance to make your new home a truly good investment.

Kathy: Being a Realtor since 1992 has allowed me to obtain the knowledge and designations important to advancing my real estate career. I am a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is the highest Designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field and recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education. I also hold the Certified Relocation Specialist (CNRS) designation passing the initial and ongoing education required for working with relocation companies who place incoming and outgoing referrals to transferees buying or selling a home.
Zac: In addition, I have attained the National Association of Realtor's approved e-PRO designation, ensuring proficiency in e-marketing and e-communication necessary in today's business world. I also hold a CNRS designation as a Certified National Relocation Specialist. With the CNRS I have passed the initial and ongoing education required for working with relocation companies who place incoming and outgoing referrals to transferees buying or selling a home.
This education, along with our other continuing education classes shows dedication to our profession. It is these skills that are crucial to our success working with buyers and sellers of all levels.
Community Involvement
It is our opinion that, if we can, we must serve others less fortunate. That is why we are active in our community. We have volunteered several times for Habitat for Humanity (http://www.habitat.org/), working at their building sites. It means so much to us that a family who deserves a home, as a result of bad luck, unfortunate circumsances or anything else, gets to have a roof over their head so they can lead a normal life. The fact that Habitat requires the family to work so many hours on their new home while it's being built creates a "pride of ownership" feeling.
In addition to my Habitat for Humanity volunteering, we are active in our own community. Each year we hold a food drive - in my Northwest Denver neighborhood (Zac) and in Dam West, Aurora neighborhood (Kathy). The donated food is given to the Bienvenidos Food Bank (http://www.bienvenidosfoodbank.org/), going directly to needy families in Northwest Denver and Food Bank of the Rockies (www.foodbankrockies.org). As a society we sometimes take for granted simple things in life, such as our ability to nourish ourselves. In these times, people are just looking to stay alive. We charge you to be involved in your community! A little giving goes a long way!
